On Monday Morning at 2am driving on Newport Pike in Chester county, State Police “Racially Profiled” Latino man John Doe from Philadelphia & Geoff Smith ExecutiveDirector of Montco NORML pulled over, The initial reason for being pulled over mentioned by the state police was the front headlight was out on the vehicle. when the State Police officer also known as “the PIK” scanned the car he proceeded to leave both the driver and passenger with a warning and stated to replace the light. However, the passenger was a medical cannabis license holder and had medical Marijuana in the car. Shorter than a mile later, both individuals were followed by an additional state police car only to be pulled over yet again driver stated that he was just pulled over for the light and State police confirmed that was the reason for the second pull over. They took both the drivers license and the passengers license to the State Police car where they waited for about 10 minutes. When they came back, state policer proceeded to ask “how much weed is in the car.” The odor of marijuana does not constitute for a warrantless search Supreme Court ruling, this state trooper, “discriminated, and profiled” the parties involved. There was a large inflatable RAW Joint, sticking out from the back seat of the car, Passenger stated “I am a Medical Marijuana License holder” which led to the police officer asking for the Identification of the Medical Marijuana patient. He then proceeded to ask to see the bag of medical Marijuana trying to “entrap” the medical patient which had the patience information on the bag. He left both the driver and passenger off with a warning. The state trooper could not find an articulable reasonable suspicion after violating rights, civil liberties and act 16 medical marijuana in this illegal pull over/warrant list search trying to entrap two travelers from Philadelphia racially profiling John Doe latino man/ driver, owner of the vehicle and a medical marijuana patient Geoff Smith Executive Director of MontcoNORML

These are the same tyrannical activities that are going on throughout the state, racially, profiling and discriminating against travelers illegally pulling them over with no articulable reasonable Suspicion violating their rights and performing warrantless searches in trapping involved parties. Creating no impairment DUIs and paraphernalia charges and illegally seizing patients cannabis. Trying to victimize medical patients and future recreational users throughout the state for the failed war on drugs, and still trying to use sick people as a means of criminalizing.

“This is not the first time I have witnessed these gross violations of rights”

I feel it is necessary now that you have to travel around with a empty medical baggie from the dispensary with your information on it so the state police can you legally pull you over and randomly ask you to provide this so they can entrap you what if I didn’t have this Bag stuffed away in my luggage in the vehicle would I have been going to jail for having a 6 foot inflatable joint in car

I stated that this is not the first instance of this great violation of rights and civil liberties back in 2016 I was a victim to the war on drugs, were simply taking my medicine and almost 10 years later the tyrannical state police are still trying to entrap people under the same MO and trying to victimize and criminalized medical patients

Cannabis reform needs to happen in 2025 adult use legislation, legalization,  DUI protection, the state police need to stop/end the war on drugs, In all recreation /legal adult use states, the police/prosecutors relaxed and had discretion leading up to individual states adult use/recreation/legalization ,but Pennsylvania is still victimizing and  criminalizing patient and future recreational users for a plant that they can legally buy across all state lines in neighboring states from Pennsylvania
